THE AFTER-KICKSTARTER ROADMAP. The release of 12 formerly Kickstarter-exclusive Blue Horizon short stories in digital format on Itch.io, ALONGSIDE 4 digital tarot cards and 2 new comics.

So the Kickstarter is now over! Thank you to those who backed, and those who shared posts. We got to $2,123.

It was a wilder ride than anticipated, as in the beginning I experienced unexpected issues with a creepier variety of a baiting spam-bot that I may go into in the further future. Essentially the bait was $1k. According to my sister it’s a common problem. Afterwards, getting to $2,123 felt like going somewhere.

I love and appreciate everyone who attempted to aid me on the way to the Kickstarter’s goal! I can tell people were passionate in doing so. I wish I could give several people the many physical goods after a funded Kickstarter, but unfortunately that didn’t end up the case.

I really wish I could give people the physical goods as soon as possible. However, certain items cost a lot, including the enamel pins. The Ranvir and Armando pin, due to my wanting a larger size for it so both the sunflower and the chibi pairing stands out, would cost a surprising amount. For now the creation of the physical items will be put off for some time until I feel like doing pre-orders for them again are justifiable.

This includes the acrylic charms, which will be the first in line when I am ready to go for pre-orders again, since they're not as expensive a pre-order. This will only occur after the proper release of the first Blue Horizon epic science fantasy novel, the eponymous “The Protector and the Annihilation.”

SO.

Now we get to the crux of everything that will begin by late this month or early next.

The release of a dozen of the 29 formerly Kickstarter-exclusive short stories on Itch.io! The entirety of this release will be in digital format only.

A literal dozen. 12 of the Blue Horizon short stories! (This link goes to the 29 short stories' previews, as is available on the Kickstarter page.)

6 of them will be WLW-focused. 6 of them will be MLM-focused. I realized during the Kickstarter that people are already curious about and do care for Blue Horizon’s story and characters. I’ll make certain to focus on making sure all 12 are a fun and intriguing reading experience!

There will be 3 different versions available on Itch.io—a WLW-focal edition, a separate MLM-focal edition, and a separate selection containing the full 12 short stories.

Antonio Chandrani-Rivera is hanging upside down as The Hanged Man, with a rope of dark blue entrails from an Eye Psyche capturing him. His little baby the aquamarine Sally the salamander heart demon is trying to burn it off him and seems soon-to-be-successful. The pink-colored iris of the eye with spring green rounding its outer edge and spring green pupil is noticing Sally. Behind him is a lot of blue-toned entrails and blue-toned sands falling. Antonio has red brown skin, red eyes peering sweetly at the person before him, and has his arms crossed, seeming rather confident. He wears a dark blue wetsuit and has one leg hanging and another simply crossed against his knee, showing a lot of thigh. His dark blue hair like waves fall down. Card description:

Alejandro has fuchsia eyes, long, falling dark hair that's implied as red-violet due to being colored by his magical flames, and light bronze skin that's lit up by his magical flames, too. He appears uneasy and incredibly unhappy, posture swaying, expression bearing gaunt eyes and a crooked smile. He is surrounded by fire forms that appear like an extremely basic idea of humanoid, such as in cave paintings, except as fire. They surround him. He wears a pink tunic with orange diamonds implying starlight along the shirt collar. The BG is an inky dark blue. The card says 'I' above with roses designs leading to it from the edges of the top half, and it says 'the magician' on the bottom half with water droplet designs and shells leading to said word.

The WLW-focal edition with have Layla and Alia’s larger [digital] tarot cards available. The MLM-focal edition will have Antonio and Alejandro’s larger [digital] tarot cards available. The full 12 short stories edition will have all 4 cards [digital].

The WLW-focal edition will have an additional comic unavailable elsewhere. The MLM-focal edition will have a separate additional comic unavailable elsewhere. The full 12 short stories bundle will have both comics available. EXAMPLE ONLY—it will be alike to this Khaleel and Leo comic, AKA Khaleel and Leo Romcom the Comic.

Unlike these upcoming new releases, there will continue to be a good amount of free-to-read Blue Horizon media, including the game, comics and short stories.

That’s the news for now! For those wondering about the Ranvir and Armando’s The Lovers card and the Leo and Khaleel cards, I’ve decided due to wanting to ascertain the above are fair, the larger digital version of these 3 cards will be released at a later date. Possibly with the release of another batch of the formerly exclusive Blue Horizon short stories. Or instead with a [new and now-unrelated-to-the-Kickstarter] “special” digital edition of the full light novel/novella that will be available on Itch.io only. Neither options are a finalized decision.

Additionally, I’ll soon begin an Inprnt shop for select Blue Horizon artwork that are among my newer batches, starting with 2025 artwork.

The complete 29 short stories will be put off from full release until the first epic science fantasy novel, The Protector and the Annihilation, has already been released. More than a few have the odd spoiler or 10.

Like I have been for some time, I will update when I have completed edits for (and in this case, created the new comics for) and am ready to release all these future Blue Horizon works!
