A dream with Nasir/Antonio as a stand-in for Gilgamesh as well as Leila and Luna as a stand-in for Inanna.

So recently I had a really curious dream! I rushed to write it down in my journal so that I wouldn't forget it easily. I extremely rarely have Blue Horizon-related dreams (I had one a year ago) despite creating it around 13 years age (am now 32), so this was particularly exciting to me.

Essentially in this dream, Nasir stood-in for Gilgamesh and Leila (Nasir's sister/Antonio Chandrani-Rivera's original sister, now cousin Layla) as well as Luna stood-in for Inanna. The dream changed the storyline of this well-known Inanna story:

The myth of 'Inanna and the Huluppu Tree', found in the preamble to the epic of Gilgamesh, Enkidu, and the Netherworld (ETCSL 1.8.1.4), centers around a young Inanna, not yet stable in her power. It begins with a huluppu tree, which Kramer identifies as possibly a willow, growing on the banks of the river Euphrates. Inanna moves the tree to her garden in Uruk with the intention to carve it into a throne once it is fully grown. The tree grows and matures, but the serpent 'who knows no charm', the Anzû-bird, and Lilitu (Ki-Sikil-Lil-La-Ke in Sumerian), seen by some as the Sumerian forerunner to the Lilith of Jewish folklore, all take up residence within the tree, causing Inanna to cry with sorrow. The hero Gilgamesh, who, in this story, is portrayed as her brother, comes along and slays the serpent, causing the Anzû-bird and Lilitu to flee. Gilgamesh's companions chop down the tree and carve its wood into a bed and a throne, which they give to Inanna, who fashions a pikku and a mikku (probably a drum and drumsticks respectively, although the exact identifications are uncertain), which she gives to Gilgamesh as a reward for his heroism.

It changed the story so that Leila and Luna were helping Nasir/Antonio instead [vs Gilgamesh helping Inanna]...!

Leila and Luna distracted a crowd that was too intensive toward Nasir/Antonio with their magic and speech. Nasir/Antonio was searching for his boyfriend.

I decided to read some of Gilgamesh after that and learned it was 500x gayer than I expected. Prior to this I only knew the summary of some of Gilgamesh before (so I did have a vague idea of Gilgamesh and Enkidu) and read "Inanna and the Huluppu Tree" because I was curious about the OG metaphor for the snake + anzu bird + lilith/lilitu.

Interestingly, while an ancient story like Gilgamesh did not discuss consent when Gilgamesh runs around trying to bed people, my dream flipped it so Nasir/Antonio was anxious about consent while trying to find his boyfriend.

That's about all I feel like sharing, but it was a wild ride checking Gilgamesh out after all that.

I know I have a lot of OCs that I haven't drawn yet, so here's a Picrew set involving the Main 6 that shows off Nasir, Leila and Luna!
