On Blue Horizon's imagery re: moon, stars, diamonds and more versus a recent popular indie animation.
09/26/25:
Since I wound up discussing with someone, just noting it down briefly (versus a new popular indie animation)--
I debuted Antonio Chandrani-Rivera and his Chandrani family's uniform and some of the diamond imagery July 2024 and even earlier than that, particularly via Blue Horizon: Bright Days, Sad Days Comic 3.
Though I don't like referencing much due to the subject matter (self-harm warning), first time I utilized diamond imagery was late 2023 and near January 2024 with Alejandro's wrist-band in this drop of early sketches.
So the imagery overlap with the recent popular indie animation is a coincidence.
I mostly focus on moon + star imagery as well as adding both Indian deity and Muslim imageries due to finding it interesting and fun, as I've talked about a few times prior.
The choices with Layla's suit colors are on purpose, though. (Both Americana + Bangladeshi, etc.)
I won't be low-keying any of the imagery I've utilized thus-far since around '23 just because of overlap! Some usage of certain imagery will increase, particularly Antonio and Nasir versus the likes of blue guts, since it hits key motifs above and doesn't look too realistic:
(These were dropped early August 2025 here and here.)
[There's further imagery and references I'm not going into (I do notice the Americana imagery), but overall those are my focuses.]
That's all!
