Started this gallery on 01/02/2025. I HOPE TO DRAW A LOT MORE BLUE HORIZON DURING 2026. :D Let's see how it turns out.

Here are a few of the main frames I made for The Protector and the Annihilation book trailer!

First are Alejandro Altaha (unrelated) versus Antonio Chandrani-Rivera (son), then the worrying Ranvir Chandrani (dad) and Armando [Herrera-]Rivera (dad).



Here's a sexy version of the last frame in the trailer on Tumblr. (The gays are not covered in blood, so it's essentially AU.) Not sure what I can put on Neocities right now, so may or may not add it here later in a separate gallery section.

I redrew the WIP animatic trailer for The Protector and the Annihilation today! I'll focus on completing or at least creating a majority of it by the time the book releases in June 2026. Animated on OpenToonz this time instead of Clip Studio, which is why it has more to it. It is now on the main page, too.

Main note for the gallery version of this is that I will be updating with new WIP versions until I feel like it's complete OR it's near-completion.

Jasmin is looking off the side and sweating hard as Maria seems to sashay near her. Jasmin is wearing punk-style black shirt with half-sleeves and rose designs down the shoulders and a centered rose with a purple leaf-slash-wings motif on her v-neck. There's mesh half-sleeves and an apparent white undershirt underneath too. She carries a red guitar, wears a spiked choker, and an ankh earring. Her brown hair is tied up and flowing like a waterfall behind her and she has sparkling brown eyes that are faced away as she sweats. Maria is confident, has red fantasy Spectral eyes, flowing long black hair, and light bronze skin. She wears a dark dress and an fantasy dual-ankh-styled necklace representing her fantasy gods. There's red curtains behind them with some backstage material, including a cardboard box. The walls and floor are teal-aquamarine.

Alejandro Altaha in an elaborate reddish huichol-like outfit with a lot of water waves, an evening with a diamond pink sun, and moonlit clouds as designs down his sleeves, water waves with many suns along his shirt collar, and a diamond sunlike star above dark waters with many star-like diamonds on his main frock. Adrián Caldera-Altaha is at his side wearing the Caldera family uniform mock-up, which is a white fit with a golden sun with rays and odd sequins above that imply an angelic design with odd teal wings and an teal shirt collar line. there are golden dots and wing-like falling designs along the sleeves and a teal ribbon tying up with a fall of gold, white and teal ribbons behind him. there's sun-like (and mildly cross-like) designs with teal lining down the fall of his own white frock. Alejandro looks casual with red eyes, peering upward with a small smile, while Adrián looks colder and less happy while holding a small reddish book that says 'tl'iish &' in apache language written in english. Along the artwork it says 'alejandro caldera-altaha in one of his more elaborate fits.' Then 'adrián caldera-altaha in the caldera family uniform' and then '(despite his occasionally wearing it--unlike alejandro--he doesn't practice martial arts).' End of description.

their family uniform's design may somewhat change later. i guess this is initial concept art.

(despite his family belonging to the golden guard in at least name, adrián doesn't actually practice martial arts and only utilizes elemental combat when pushed into a corner. he's not necessarily a pacifist.)

...and here's an alternate that may be more or less pleasing in terms of focusing on the uniform and aesthetic. unsure.

Below Raj and Layla are Antonio Chandrani-Rivera and Alejandro [Caldera-]Altaha as kids too, waiting their turn to swing on Juan's buff arms. Behind the quartet of kids is Alejandro's eldest brother Teo with a gentle expression toward the events; he's holding a picnic basket full of food like apples and possible wraps of some kind. The day is bright and blue. Beryl has Spectral Viridian eyes, Fernando and Teo have Spectral Gold eyes, Raj has Spectral Silver eyes, while Juan, Antonio and Alejandro have Spectral Red, and Layla has a Dual Spectral Red-Silver. However, Juan and Layla's eyes are dialed up to fuchsia.

Completed the additional ending artwork for Blue Horizon: The Binary Star, "Alejandro."

Here are early notes on this particular trio. A lot of surprises may await regarding their story--particularly, I believe, Beryl's. (He is not mentioned within the short story itself.) You can find the link here if it's too hard to read.

Originally meant to draw 2000's AD Aletono but I. Got distracted and realized I finished this one's shadows and highlights... So another version is upcoming.

All while Antonio's eyes are sparkling and he's blushing.

Alejandro Altaha of Blue Horizon worries his bobs aren't attractive and defined enough. Inspired by recent Bluesky disco horse events. (I will not explain.)

Essentially last night my brain started mulling on how Antonio would find Alejandro attractive regardless of his current figure/fit.

Alejandro is peering at him with a soft smile and sparkling red eyes. Antonio has blue hair like waves swishing softly as he falls, while Alejandro has long violet hair that stands in for black with pink fall of stands around his face. Antonio has brown skin and wears a teal sleeveless shirt while Alejandro has light bronze skin and wears a pink tunic. There is a white bench beneath them and a leaf green garden behind them. The family rose arch has pink roses falling down behind them, and pink petals drift everywhere around them. There is a bit of sparkling light around.

Since the animation program I used utilized pieces and I wasn't used to it, I wound up changing it completely. Will try redoing one day.

And one day I'll redraw it in the actual environment I want them in (which is a spoiler location. A few beta readers can probably guess if they read up to Part 2).

Decided to go for this name/current nickname for Anisra's "Alejandro"--"Solanadyne." They are trans women and the past lives of Antonio Chandrani-Rivera and Alejandro Altaha; so similar it's eerie.

It is a portending occurrence in Blue Horizon when you are reborn extremely similar to your past self.

Will work on my feather-drawing skills...! (Full image of Anisra with wings is on Patreon, as well as less-censored look for "Solanadyne.")

Aside: Trans girl bird people Aletono was inspired some time ago by Harpie Lady from Yu-Gi-Oh (forget when I first rambled about it on socmed but around then) and I want to add talons and realized after talking about it on socmed yesterday (11/01/2025) that Harpie Lady has Intense Talons (which I forgot).

My girls can snap that shit off and file them down though and aren't as bird-handsy.

anisra is the trans girl past life of antonio who eerily looks and acts a bit too much like him, which is a rare but portending occurrence in blue horizon. it means something when it happens.
