2025 main art gallery of BLUE HORIZON characters by naila moonsi.
A new page for the upcoming new year! It's 12/22/2024. I might have a bit of art to show off soon.
The 2022 to 2024 page has a secret! Poke at it if you want. If it's too difficult to find, it's on the main page with other secrets, too. It's secret, but it's not "secret."I keep making cover art! This is for the upcoming 18k interactive fiction/text-based family + LGBTQ/gay/boys' love game featuring Raj Rivera...! It should drop within a few days' time (it's currently 02/21/25).
Here's a smaller version without the text:
Here's additional artwork that will be a part of the game!
Spoiler art for main routes within the game:
New 02/25/25 character art with extreme spoilers for a route within the game:
Secret route art.
[Current note 02/23/25. Moved the old Hibiscus artwork to the sketch dump section of the site, here.]
I created the cover art for the side story novella/light novel and dropped it after the new year, around January 23rd...! It came to me as a vision. (I'll put up a version of the artwork without any text in the way eventually; am just being lazy RN.)
Beyond that, there's two new regular artwork upcoming...! Until then, here's a sketch of the Main 4's Ancient selves via blog. It's of Nasir Hadid-Salah (Antonio Chandrani-Rivera) and Leila Hadid-Salah (Layla Chandrani) and their besties. Will be finishing it up soon.
As for the rest of the newest artwork...they are mainly all chibi! One is the header art for the site now, and the rest are enamel pin designs.
The header art:
The enamel pin designs...!
As noted on the main page, Alejandro's frock-like attire is based on historic photos of Apache men's outfits. Antonio's is just his Chandrani family's fantasy uniform. As noted in the 11/23/24 blog post, Alejandro [Caldera-]Altaha is mixed Apache and Mexican.
I didn't think about how 2025 would begin with the chibification of Blue Horizon characters. Fun way to begin it, art-wise...! Relaxing. I've been used to drawing chibis for a long time, despite otherwise doing an extremely extensive art break for about ten years.
Here's a few of the last artworks of 2024:
SO... I was stubborn back in February of 2024 and assumed I'd draw a few more (and actually reach my goal of finishing 30 daily sketches instead of only 20), but I never did!
I never dropped this sketch I completed in February 17th of 2024. I will actually drop the somewhat edited version of this sketch here (I'll be less lazy and drop the edited version of other daily sketches here eventually).
It's of older Armando Rivera and Ranvir Chandrani, the dads of Blue Horizon! The first digital art I ever attempted was of them at 18 or 19, so it's interesting to see my slow progress thus-far by comparing them.
I'm currently largely focusing on the upcoming Kickstarter and art I want to get done for that! So I haven't been sketching outside that much.
Due to this, here's a few comic sketches to give a better feel for my current art, from March 2024 onward (the last one is from late July 2024):
Late October 2024 additions:
