IT'S THE NEW YEAR OF 2026... I'm more likely to fill up the sketch gallery quickly if last year was any indication! I'll keep the current tradition of having a few of last years' latest artwork in this gallery, BUT...

We're starting with a little bit of an awkward situation for 2026. On December 31st, 2025, I dropped the last sketch of the year, which capped off the '2005 or 2025?' storyline in Antonio Chandrani-Rivera's Secret Tumblr Blog.

THIS GALLERY BEGINS WITH FERNANDO'S FIRST POST OF 2026 on 01/01/2026, which truly completes the '2005 or 2025?' Blue Horizon character blogs' storyline of 2025.

fernando-chan-riv-fav-bands on his secret Tumblr character blog speaks at the beginning of our new year 2026 on 01/01. The photo he describes in this way: My brother [ERROR]. He's under a nighttime sky-scape--was it in the Boundless or not? The Boundless can be strange. Well, he's lit a bit starkly nighttime blue beneath these apparent stars, but usually he has brown skin. His red eyes are glowing. His dark hair falls around him. He's smiling a bit sadly, in my opinion. I wonder what's wrong? His pupils aren't how they typically are--they're often glowing red or fuchsia. This seems both fuchsia and gold to me, in the midst of night, with an odd ancient camera... His blog post says: This photo... It's bothering me. I've been looking through the photo gallery on this thing, and I remember my brother Antonio showing this off to us a while ago now. I swear the memory stayed fuzzy for the longest time–was it within our domains? At the beach, maybe. I saw him recently. Something off about his eyes. Something off about those pupils. Did he do something to his magic? Or was it me? He was so depressed. I don't know what to do. I remember what Alejandro said happened that day they got separated on the anomalous floating isle. They were together but afraid. When I think about it now, I'm glad Alejandro was there... Antonio didn't tell me anything when we met up later. He still brought me fruit with tajín seasoning. He was too stressed out. I finally know why. I need to become stronger. That's all. On antonio-chandranis-dream-blog, 12/31/2025. Description of Antonio's selfie via Antonio's words: It's my selfie! I look cool AF and tried smiling. I have dark falling hair around my face and dark tone to my skin; there's light blue/aquamarine lighting from our atmosphere in the lower horizon, but there's countless stars in the dark skies behind me. My Red eyes are glowing more than usual, hmm. The pupils look odder than usual. Usually there isn't any gold to the glowing fuchsia of my pupils. How odd. Then the post: I tried taking a selfie with this 'cell-phone' camera. This Antonio K▦▦▦-G▦▦▦ lives in the 2000's, so the quality ain't great. It's a little odd, isn't it? His 2020's smart-ass camera has way better quality, so I stole it for a minute when the (literal) tiger ran him over (literal tiger) and sneaked a picture of the cute 'instant camera selfie,' deleted it, and then cleaned it up later...! >:D It's a little odd... The year 2005 is a faraway fairy-tale to me. I think there's some part of me that understands exactly what year this is, but what does it matter? He'll never fully get it, either. ((( Artist's notes regarding Antonio and Fernando Chandrani-Rivera's and the year 2025 story arc's end:

I tried doing a '90's anime-styled skintone lighting with aquamarines amid the darker colors. Wound up altering it due to wanting a different aesthetic and color tone. (You all did not see the /gen aquamarine version.)

Then I adjusted it again on New Years Day because I realized the previous quick undershirt layer wasn't working for me. 🫠 Came off greener than I intended? And a blue that matches Antonio's Chandrani family uniform fits works better for the storyline referenced by Fernando, i.e. one in The Protector and the Annihilation. )))

Aside from the above reasoning, adjusted the sketch on 01/01/2026 due to wanting to make sure the official character blog looks the way I want it to.

wintertides or something...!!! in canon??? we'll see.

clip art type of material with my own art of fernando and chibi diego where chibi diego with festive red with white fluffy trimmings christmas hat is trying to give fernando a quantum physics book that is volume iii and fernando is already engrossed reading quantum physics book volume ii... the quantum physics book is dark blue with simplified concept of quantum mechanicky or physick-sy light gimmick in textbooks. fernando description: Fernando Chandrani with dark hair that falls in front of him as a long braid, gold eyes, brown skin and a cheerful smile. He wears a white shirt with buttons undone. Behind him is green foliage with various large leaves. diego description: Diego is drawn as a chibi with black hair pulled back, round excited fuchsia eyes with white centering, little pink round chibi blushes, and a cute chibi :D smile. He wears an implied violet jacket and black pants.

(Small Christmas offering that's a spinoff from the February 2024 Valentines edit found WAY below [may stop being lazy and link it with an a-name later] and easiest on Tumblr. Will this be the last thing here before I switch to the 2026 gallery and make going between the pages more dynamic. I hope not hahaha.)

Sketch dump between December 11 to December 22 below. Became increasingly thematic (kitty).

This version has chibi Antonio Chandrani-Rivera's cat ears in the ERROR message. A pixelated retro-looking desktop where fernando chandrani-rivera is looking very gently at a cheery diego garza. fernando has flowing hair that seems to pull down into a braid with a pink ribbon, while diego has a dark pomade and niko-niko generally closed cheery eyes going on out of happiness. the desktop background is a rose pink and a few icons populate it--a world-like icon, a 'notepack' icon, an anime eye with a fuchsia spectral pupil, a simple chibi bunny icon nearer to fernando, and an odd paw-like icon by an error screen. by fernando's chest there's an odd diamond icon with a heart. all these icons have a fantasy language under them. the error message displays a chibi twin antonio chandrani-rivera with squiggly soft red chibi eyes and he has his usual blue hair like waves and wears a chibi blue shirt with soft falling blue sleeves like waves. there's aquamarine waves behind him on the error message. the error message says 'A devil-may-care ERROR OCCURRED.' beside the text there's a pink pixelated broken heart icon. the error message's upper section is a wave-like aquamarine stripe. there's two other error message--one looks normal like the main one above and another has a strange gold tone with a rainbowing array to it.
This version's only alteration is chibi Antonio without cat ears.
This one has something new--a gold-and-pink staticking screen pulled away from the other two that seems to show only 'care red' or 'are red' from 'devil-may-care' and 'error occurred.'

Retro Fernando Chandrani-Rivera and Diego Garza on a desktop wallpaper; just had a vision for it. Of course it wound up an "eye catch image" for the upcoming visual novel, as can be seen here.

The main focus initially was chibi kitty Antonio; I realized late that I based the chibi style on 2000's shimeji art styles! Due to realizing my subconscious inspo, I looked up shimeji and again and discovered they recently came back into vogue!!! Party like it's 2008!!! B)

Saw it via its active Reddit @ shimeji BTW and an active Bluesky tag. Very happy to learn it, though I highly recommend avoiding getting any 2000's era shimeji, since they're ancient and probably mess up modern computers.

Kitty. These two are already in the short story section (Here at "Blue Horizon: what he sees at your side.") and while I orignally drew them for fun, somehow they became part of a prelude short story to the upcoming visual novel! Essentially I stared at chibi nekomimi ! Antonio and had an Experience of writing caliber.



antonio is in deep thought. he seems sad. he thinks, 'i wonder why kiran and rayan mainly hang out with each other instead of staying my besties as part of my bestie trio anymore...?' a telepathic connection between him and fernando goes 'bzzzt!' in red and gold. he and fernando are identical twins, but antonio has shorter falling hair around his shoulder and fernando has a braid. they are both brown. antonio and his trio of friends in front of fernando on the couch have red eyes. fernando is sweating with his gold eyes closed behind the couch and it says 'fernando chandrani-rivera' next to him and 'aka the twin brother who occasionally gets a telepathic connection with an idiot and can tell he's thinking stupid shit.' beside antonio is his best friend alejandro who is sleeping going -v- and 'snorkmimimimimi.' he is sleeping with anime eyes closed and very happy. he's sorta chibi. he has long dark hair and light bronze skin. by him it says 'alejandro caldera-altaha' with 'caldera' crossed out. by them diego is third-wheeling like usual playing video games with an archiac controller they prob don't actually use anymore in their 100k years in the future era. diego has light bronze skin and red eyes and looks enthused about his game in a sketchy chibi-esque way with his brows drawn excitedly but he looks also dorky as hell and like an idiot. he is gaming with a teal controller with pink hearts and a controller thingy on it. it says 'diego garza by him.' they're all on a couch. except fernando who's standing behind the couch sweating. it says 'blue horizon: the idiot brother and his crew' below. the canvas is mostly pink with some aquas, brighter pinks and light greens.
fernando is sweating profusely in page 2, with his gold eyes open but his expression shocked in a wildly dazed anime way. he is extremely shocked with a twitching smile with a lot of anime sweat falling from him. the background is a dark color violet bleeding to a light lavender color. he's going 'I'VE NEVER MET A GAY HOMOPHOBE SO STUPID. baba, farrah, keya, mina, help... i must protect those i love. (why is this nasir so stupid?)'

I dropped these comics here because I feel like the 2025 sketch gallery has way more context you can gain about Antonio and possibly Fernando. Will drop with an actual side comic batch in the side comics section later.

First time I drew on an Android tablet and on Ibis Paint! Happened December 11. I used to be stressed about sharing my art process since it starts off very rough, but wound up liking the art process vid enough to show it off here and elsewhere. Really enjoy Ibis Paint and am excited to have a particularly portable thing to draw on, especially by spring and summer. :D
